Sunshine Coast Biosphere Community Awards

The Sunshine Coast Council Sunshine Coast Biosphere Community Awards celebrate the individuals, community groups, and businesses who make an outstanding contribution to life on the Sunshine Coast.
The awards recognise leadership, innovation and community spirit across social, environmental, cultural and economic areas, reflecting the region’s commitment to sustainability as part of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme.

Originally known as the Sunshine Coast Australia Day Community Awards, the program evolved into the Biosphere Community Awards to align with the Sunshine Coast’s designation as a UNESCO Biosphere region and to highlight achievements that contribute to a thriving, sustainable community.

Each year the awards honour community champions whose work improves the region through volunteering, creativity, environmental leadership, community service, business innovation and social impact.
