Island Charity Swim 2025!

About the Island Charity Swim:

The Island Charity Swim is an annual open-ocean fundraising event held on the Sunshine Coast, with the 2025 swim scheduled for Saturday, May 10.

Participants undertake a challenging 10km swim from Mudjimba Beach, around Mudjimba Island (Old Woman Island), to Mooloolaba Beach.

This event supports the Currimundi, Nambour, and Palmview Special Schools, raising funds to enhance educational resources and facilities for students with special needs.

Swimmers can participate individually or in teams, with entry fees and minimum fundraising requirements varying accordingly. All swimmers must have a support crew, including a paddler and a safety vessel, due to the open-ocean nature of the course.

Sunny Coasters are encouraged to join the finish line at The Spit (Mooloolaba Beach) to cheer on the swimmers. At the finish line, there will be free face painting, a BBQ, beach games and a kite festival.
